R.I.P. Ride For Kids Co-Founder

Dianne Traynor, president and co-founder of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and co-founder of the Ride for Kids charity program, has died after a long illness. She was 67.

Dianne and her late husband, Mike, began Ride for Kids in 1984 to raise funds for childhood brain tumor research. Its success led them to start the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (PBTF), today the world’s largest philanthropic organization dedicated to finding a cure for the deadliest form of childhood cancer. Following Mike’s death in 2009, Dianne became the PBTF’s president and chairman of the board.

TAM Communications sends sincere condolences to the Traynor family and all those whose lives Dianne touched. She will be missed. In lieu of flowers, RoadBike encourages you to attend a Ride For Kids event in Dianne’s memory before 2012 is out.
